Community comment guidelines
Last updated 13 September 2026. Applies to Perspectives comments and Garrul (community).
FinanceSignal.ai is a practical desk community — finance people comparing notes, not a tip sheet or a sales funnel. Comments are welcome when they add something useful. By commenting, you agree to these guidelines.
What’s welcome
- Experience from the desk: what worked, what didn’t, what you’d try next
- Clarifying questions and constructive pushback
- Links to public sources (reports, standards, your own Perspectives-style thinking) when they help the thread
- Respectful disagreement — argue the idea, not the person
Keep it short enough that a busy CFO or controller can read it between meetings.
Not OK
- Spam, promo, or drive-by pitches (tools, courses, “DM me”)
- Anything that presents personal views as personalised financial, legal, tax, or investment advice
- Confidential or client data — strip names, numbers, and anything that could identify an employer or customer
- Harassment, hate, threats, or personal attacks
- Impersonation, fake expertise claims, or coordinated brigading
- Off-topic dumps that derail the thread
We may remove content that breaks these rules without debating every case in public.
Moderation
- An email address is required to comment so we can contact you if needed and reduce anonymous spam
- Comments may be held for review before they appear, or removed after posting if they breach these guidelines
- We can edit for formatting only; we won’t rewrite your point to change meaning
- Repeat breaches may mean your commenting access is limited or closed
- These are community house rules for FinanceSignal.ai — not legal advice, and not Fire & Safety Australia policy
Questions about moderation: use the contact path on About / Community.
